Earth Sentinel came into being to help solve the acknowledged information and analytical gaps that exist within the institutions addressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
The Earth Sentinel project aims to improve life for people and the planet by informing actions to positively change human behaviour on a macro scale.
Using satellite imagery, time-stamped and origin authenticated on Blockchain, Earth Sentinel aims to understand the state of the planet by telling the story of change over time – the build-up of plastics in the oceans, changes in land use, and changes in landscape such as desertification and rising sea level – leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify change and patterns on a global scale.
