Alex Tai
Alex is an experienced CEO/Chairman and investor with a proven history of working at a global strategic level, specialising within the Information Technology and aerospace/aviation industry sectors.
Before his role as CEO of Blok, Alex was Director of Special Projects at Virgin Group, CEO of Virgin Racing, CEO of Virgin Oceanic, and COO of Virgin Galactic, which gives him unique insight into pioneering technology projects and has allowed him to hone his ability to form strong winning teams.
Alex is a current Board member and Director of the Global Blockchain Business Council and has spoken at the World Economic Forum on blockchain applications and identity. His business acumen and first-hand experience supports the GBBC’s mission to advise industries on the successful incorporation and implementation of blockchain, and he is passionate about developing the global blockchain capability to its full potential by making it accessible for all.
Earlier in his career, he graduated from Royal Air Force College Cranwell where he trained as a fast jet pilot, and currently holds world speed records including fastest around the World both East and West. He has previously chaired the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, and after his involvement with Virgin Galactic his aim is to fly the Galactic Spaceship.
