Ed Rayner

Before his role as Commercial Director at Blok, Ed was an Investment Director in the deal team at venture capital company, Arix Bioscience plc, and was Managing Director of Arix’s Fund Management operation. Arix sources, finances and builds life science businesses addressing medical innovation at all stages of development. During his time at Arix, Ed led several investments across a range of fields and took a board seat to help guide development of the various technologies.

Before joining Arix Bioscience, Ed spent 18 years in finance as an equity analyst and portfolio manager in Europe and Australia. From 2004 to 2014, he was Head of Research at Alliance Bernstein and then a senior portfolio manager at AMP Capital, both in Sydney. In London he has worked for JP Morgan, UBS and Alliance Bernstein.

Ed gained an MA in Chemistry and MSc in Management at the University of Oxford and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
